![]() I'm a fixer. It felt like confession or an AA meeting the first time I said it out loud. Hi my name is Charlie and I am a fixer. I have been a fixer since I was 11 years old and my Dad left. I tried to fix my mum and anyone else around me from that day on. You had a problem I'd listen, and I'd help you fix it. I was like a magnet. The more I fixed, the more they came. When I look back today knowing I'm an empath I know I felt what they felt, so I knew who needed my help before they probably did. As I've got older I know this was all to distract me from the fact I couldn't fix myself. I couldn't put my family back together. So from then on if you needed my help I was there, you wanted advice, I was there. In fact that's pretty much what my school year book says page after page. I fix people's problems. I break things down so it's clearer for them and I point out the direction in the way things are heading. At the time I didn't know I had psychic abilities. I just thought it was a lucky guess when people would say "It happened just like you said it would and it's all sorted now". "It's the best job in the world. I found myself doing all day every day. Being a Fixer." From 20 years of fixing people. I learnt a few things. Firstly you can't fix something if the key person doesn't want you to. Some people are destructive and that's ok. They are learning the best way they know how. Leave them to it. Walk away. Don't get angry or frustrated because you can see the answer and they can't. Don't try and fix things or situations unless people ask you to. Now that one took time for me to learn. It took a lot of years of this happening for me to realise what was going on. See I'll stand and be counted for you. I'll have your back 100%. I'm your right hand girl, I'll even say a speech if I need to. I'll fire you up ready to make a stand, so you can change your life for the better. But sometimes you aren't ready. And then I'm left standing alone holding the flag in the middle of a battle field. This one has left me in some sticky situations that I wouldn't want to repeat. Finally the biggest lesson I learnt. Fix yourself first. So for my fellow fixies out there. Work on yourself before you try and fix the world. That is why things happen in your life. For you to learn and grow and become the best version of yourself. You may not see it at the time. But it's how you become the stronger you, the braver you, the you that you never thought you would be. It's how you decide what you do and most importantly what you don't want in life. So guess what I'm still a fixer. In fact I'm the best kind of fixer I know. I'm brave & kind and I won't stop until you do. I'll go beyond for my friends, family & clients. But one thing has changed is I won't fix things for you. Oh no. I'll bring my tool kit. It's full of bits and bobs from the books I've read, courses I've been on and of course some lessons along the way. I'll even bring the humour by the bucket load & I'll lend you the tools to fix it yourself. Sometimes we need to knock it down and start again. Other times we just need some love and a little glue to put you back together piece by piece. But you've got to do the work. I'll stand behind you like the biggest force of nature. Because I'm a fixer & just like the universe "I've got your back". Oceans of Love Charlie 🙌🏻💕 |
