do you even pray?..

​***Do you even Pray?***

This morning we went to St Mary's in the village. 
It's something we do quite often when we are little early for school pick ups or when it's rainy and we need a little peace. 

It is the most beautiful church with wooden beams & beautiful stain glass. Plus there is something about the sound of the rain on the roof soothes my soul. 

Today we lit our candles and thanked the angels as usual, then Theo went to look at his favourite windows. Whilst I sat quietly in the silence a lady entered the church and we got chatting. She was clearly a Christian and a very active member of the church. We discussed angels and my beliefs in God and Mother Nature. She seemed genuinely interested in a spiritualists perspective. Finally she asked "So do you pray Charlotte?"

I replied..

"Oh I believe everyone prays, just a lot of people chose to wait until their backs are right against the wall before they start."

She smiled that knowing smile. And wondered off towards the other end of the church. 

You see we all just want something to believe in. Something to listen to us, something to pray to. Whatever you choose to believe in this week make it something good. The good in other people, the good in our differences, the good in Grace. If you look hard enough you'll find something.
