Publically reflecting on my year was something we did for a while. Last year it slipped by me due to Boris changing everyone's plans at the last minute, Ash was running around at 8 pm at night trying to find us a turkey and I believe the inlaws are still hard pushing through the snacks they brought for our arrival.
So here we are, another year done if you follow the old ways with Yule around the corner I felt we should bring back this way of sharing with you, to show that we all are peeling back the layers in one way or another.
What a year this year has been. We closed the door on Untamed Soul for now, working a 60 hour week on a side project was never the plan, but sometimes you simply need to let the cookie crumble and settle for the fact that you tried.
Sometimes you simply need to let the cookie crumble and settle with the fact that you tried.
Working with so many amazing change-makers, left me with a huge feeling of love in my heart but also a heaviness that I had failed them. I stopped free writing posts because I spent my days rereading the words of others or trying my hand at graphic design, I cannot begin to explain how amazing it feels to be free writing this straight onto the website with zero editing. At one point I wasn't sure we would get back to this place of ease, yet here we are.
So what has this year taught us? If we rewind 2020 taught us what was important and it forced us to slow down. For me, 2021 forced me to really look inside of myself. To truly know ourselves inside and out. To explore the deepest shadows and sit fully immersed in our pains of the past. It was Ummm a lot of work and a pivotal year of truly understanding who I am and who I want to be moving forward.
But on the other side of the coin, there were new friendships, new circles, and new magick. There were dragons, wolves, symbols, and light codes. Where we head next..., back to music. If I am honest it's a thought that makes my insides twist in avoidance. You see I haven't sung publically since a week before Boo's first birthday. This means we are around 9 years out of practice and it shows.
There are going to be some pitchy moments and some wobbles in 2022, but I'm fully here for it. If anyone needs me I'll be walking the path between worlds whilst singing your heart out as the doors of a new year fully open to us all.
Here is to 2021 where little was lost and alot was found and to the song of 2022 that is already calling.
