In an unexpected turn of events we have finally landed in Cornwall and as my recent beach stories have declared.."I am never leaving". You hear that universe, I may relocate to the other side of Cornwall, or further into the wild, but as for this life time we will not be moving long distance again. There isn't a lot of times where I have put in a huge boundary with spirit ahead of time. But this is one of them. I am now an honorary Cornish Maid for life. (Not sure the locals would agree with that just yet). So far I've managed to Unknowingly walk into a Christian shop looking for Witchy Books for B!! Which as you can imagine that didn't go down well Nothing like walking into a new town and delaring your magic to the church. (My ancestors would be proud I am sure.) We have also located the nearest post box and park, so it's not all dramatic. Besides this it has been a very slow integration into a house that isn't my usual style. The universe works in mysterious ways like that. It does still feel very strange that back in May we travelled home from Cornwall discussing the possibility of moving in the next two years. It seemed like an impossible push but we do love a challenge; only to arrive home and be given eight weeks notice on our house in which we have lived for almost seven years. We had only eight weeks to find somewhere to live. The universe certainly knows how to push us to our limits. During this time we gave away 90% of our belonging and 100% of our furniture.
We knew it that moment that the Universe was giving us a relentless shove to make the move sooner. Within 4 weeks Ashley had a new job and as I pulled furniture onto the drive for freecycle he was leaving to start his new position down south. A few more weeks of clearing out, a couple of months of sofa surfing and living out of rucksacks and here we are. One day I will get into the nitty gritty of how the universe truly aligned for us in super light speed, however for now I am simply very grateful for all the patience and support our loved ones have shown us. For now its all about making this house feel like home and finding our people. And of course it goes without saying connecting to the new land between the Moors and the shores and getting reconnected with my gorgeous healing clients. Cornwall has always felt like home, yet somehow it doesn't feel like a reality just yet. I hope however your summer went down that it was full of laughter, kindess and connection. Here is to the Winter.. know that as I write this I am sending you so much love from my cosy blanket to yours. Cx |
